KUU Lebook Pro 2 in 1 Laptop Review: Best Surface Alternative

Computing, Reviews

While laptops are amazing portable machines for daily grindings, often, they lack the utmost comfort of a tablet. On the contrary, a tablet lacks the screen space and comfortable typing experience that a laptop can provide.2-in-1 laptops, in this case, have the best of both. They keep the form factor relatively smaller for better convenience while also having the perk of being used as a laptop through a detachable keyboard. On the review table today, we have the KUU Lebook Pro. A powerful 2-in-1 laptop with a small and lightweight footprint and a versatile interface. In this article, we are going to share our unboxing and testing experience of this laptop and review it. So to see whether it lives up to its potential, go through this article till the end.

Unboxing

In the box, we get to see the laptop itself, along with a detachable keyboard, a stylus pen, a 45 Watt charging brick, a USB-C cable, and the user manual.

First Impression

Design-wise, KUU Lebook Pro looks modern and thin. It measures about 290 millimeters in length and 9.5 millimeters in thickness so that you can slide it inside of your bag effortlessly. Moreover, the tablet itself feels lightweight, so you are less likely to feel any strain after holding it for a longer period. It comes with a 5 Megapixel front camera with a decent enough quality for virtual meetings. At the same time, the 8 Megapixel rear is an additional perk to have for taking pictures while you are out.

Ports

Connectivity-wise, you get 2 USB Type C ports and a Headphone Combo Jack that are just about right for connecting external accessories such as an SSD.

Display

With that being said, let’s focus on the display quality. The 12.6-inch IPS screen has a native resolution of 2160 by 1440p. As a result, on-screen contents appeared crips and clear while the brightness and color quality were also up to the mark for a budget 2 In 1 Laptop. We also want to mention this laptop’s 3 by 2 aspect ratio that provided enough screen real-state to view multiple windows at once. And lastly, the 60Hz refresh rate felt smooth while scrolling through web pages and using it in tablet mode. The included Stylus Pen has a pressure sensitivity of 4096PP on the display that felt responsive enough for general note-taking and sketching down ideas. And you can even magnetically attach it to the laptop when it is not being used.

Specifications

For its price, Lebook Pro has a reasonable amount of specs. It is rocking a Kabylake i7 8550U Processor coupled with 16 Gigabytes of RAM and 512 Gigabytes of SSD storage. The processor did hold its ground quite well in general to moderate usages such as light gaming and editing. In addition, thanks to the plentiful RAM, multitasking such as opening up multiple office documents and projects felt responsive.

Keyboard

The detachable keyboard magnetically attaches to the tablet for a laptop-like setup. It doesn’t require wireless connectivity as it gets functional the moment you attach it. Surprisingly, it also has backlighting that will serve you well while typing in a darker atmosphere. The typing area was wide enough, while the touchpad was responsive too. The keyboard also works as a protective case with a rubberized texture and fabric-like appearance. While using it with the case in laptop mode, you can tilt it backward at a 150-degree angle for a comfortable viewing experience.

Final Words

Everything considered the KUU Lebook Pro is indeed a worthy alternative to the Surface Laptop 4. For its price, it comes with a detachable keyboard and a stylus pen which you need to pay extra in case of the Surface Laptop. So that was all about the KUU Lebook Pro 2 in 1 Laptop. Its handsome-looking display, a reasonable amount of specs, and lots of ergonomics features make it worth your investment.
