Steam Deck vs Aokzoe A1

Does the Aokzoe A1 have the potential to beat the Steam Deck? Let’s find out.

Design

Starting with the design, both handhelds look pretty good with their own design and aesthetic and they are also pretty close when it comes to size as well.

The Steam Deck is really comfortable to hold, and the premium matt black finish looks perfect on this handheld. Thumbsticks are also placed nicely at the top, which allows users to have a very swift controlling experience. The touchpads are positioned on both sides right under the thumbsticks, and they are really helpful when it comes to playing RTS and other top-down games. On top of that, the ergonomic design and the natural placement of the analog triggers are really comfortable for a long time gaming session.

Now, if we take a look at the Aokzoe A1, it comes in a very similar size to the Steam Deck. The ergonomic design and curved edges will give your palm a nice feeling while holding it for a long time. Thumbsticks are also nicely placed and easy to reach. Although it doesn’t have any touchpads like the Steam Deck, it does come with a full-size D-pad on the left side, which is very useful for some games that require plenty of movement. Also, the analog triggers really do a fantastic job when it comes to playing racing games.

So design-wise, there is not much to complain about. Because they both have visually pleasing aesthetics. But when it comes to more convenient usage, Steam Deck has additional touchpads for a better user experience. Similarly, Aokzoe A1 also has a dedicated TDP button which boosts the gaming performance.

Specs

As we move on to the specs, we see that both Steam Deck and Aokzoe A1 are powered by AMD processors, but one is slightly more powerful than the other.

Steam Deck uses the Zen-2 processor with up to 3.5GHz boosted frequency along with 8 Core RDNA-2 graphics chips, including 16GB LPDDR5 RAM. As a result, it can deliver a pretty solid gaming performance. Steam Deck comes in three different models- 64GB, 256GB, and 512GB SSD, users may choose any of them based on their preference. Also, you will definitely love the 7-inch IPS LCD touchscreen display, which comes in 1280×800 resolution and 60-hertz refresh rate.

Final Verdict

“Steam Deck definitely is the most affordable windows gaming handheld out there in this price range, with solid performance and internal hardware. But AOKZOE A1 is also one of the most powerful gaming handhelds with top-tier internal specs.”

So, if you do care about the price, then the Steam Deck is definitely worth the value and if the price doesn’t bother you at all, then Aokzoe A1 can be your ultimate choice for windows handheld gaming.

Steam Deck has been quite a lot popular among handheld users since its first release earlier this year. But there are a few other handheld devices that are much more powerful than the Steam Deck.
