So, if you are excited by One-Netbook’s new announcement, then here is a comparison between the ONEXPLAYER 2 and the standard ONEXPLAYER. Which might help you to get a proper view of the changes on the new ONEXPLAYER 2.

Design
One-Netbook got really creative with the design of their new OneXPlayer 2, by introducing a Switch-style PC gaming handheld with detachable controllers on both sides. And, if you attach these controllers to the base station, then you will also be able to turn this into a full fledge gamepad. Which offers more flexibility as you keep on playing your favorite games. Other than these few changes, it almost looks pretty similar to the Original ONEXPLAYER.
Both left and right analog sticks, and triggers, including D-PAD and ABXY buttons, are placed in a perfect position just like the standard version. It also includes a few other additional buttons, which look similar to the ONEXPLAYER’s home, select, keyboard, start, and turbo buttons. Besides that, ONEXPLAYER 2 also supports a magnetic keyboard stand, which seems like a pretty great deal as well.
So if you look at the design, it seems that nothing really has changed except the detachable controllers on both sides. And yes, it is the most noticeable and biggest change they have brought to the new ONEXPLAYER 2, which is a pretty big deal in our opinion.
Display
As for the display, it is expected that we will see a similar 8.4-inch touchscreen display, including a 2560 by 1600 resolution on the latest ONEXPLAYER 2. So, in this case, it is safe to say that, there won’t be much difference when it comes to the display. But who knows, maybe there will be a few more changes when the full specification of this handheld will be officially disclosed to the public.
Specs
As for the internal specs, ONE-Netbook has announced that there will be two different versions on the market for ONEXPLAYER 2. One will be the AMD version with the Ryzen 7 6800U processor. And the other one will be with the 13th-gen Intel Core- i7 processor. Another impressive upgrade that is worth pointing out is the Dual Harman Kardon Certified Speakers, and it’s going to sound incredible on this device.
Initially, the standard ONEXPLAYER was launched with three different variants: i5-1135G7, i7-1165G7, and i7-1185G7. And later, they also released the AMD versions of this handheld with Ryzen-7 4800U and 5700U.
As we can see, the performance boost onto the latest ONEXPLAYER 2 is going to be huge, since it has a more powerful CPU than the Standard model. And judging from each variant of the original model, we can also expect multiple variants from both AMD and Intel versions of the new ONEXPLAYER 2. On top of that, it got a 65.5-watt-hour battery, while the standard version includes 59 watts-hour battery. So, it seems that ONEXPLAYER 2 is going to last longer than the original model as well.
Our Takeaway
So, will it be actually worth upgrading to the upcoming ONEXPLAYER 2 handheld from the standard ONEXPLAYER?
In short, the answer is – Yes, as it offers you more powerful internal hardware and flexible ways to play your favorite games just like the Nintendo Switch. So, if you can afford it, then it is definitely worth upgrading.
That was all about the comparison between the latest OneXPlayer vs OneXPlayer 2 handheld.
