The highly-regarded mobile phone manufacturer, OnePlus, has recently unveiled their very first tablet, the OnePlus Tab. It appears to be packed with many useful features, making it a promising device. From a design standpoint, the OnePlus Tab showcases remarkable portability and a refined minimalist aesthetic that is highly appealing. This 11.61-inch tablet measures just 6.54 millimeters in thickness and weighs around 555 grams, which makes this thing super comfortable to carry around. And currently, there is only one color available to order, which is Halo Green from their latest flagship phone OnePlus 11 but is it any good against the ultimate M2 iPad Pro? We are going to discuss that in this article.
M2 iPad Pro vs OnePlus Pad
The M2 iPad Pro on the other hand is available in two different colors and sizes -11-inch and 12.9-inch, with Silver and Space Gray colors. And when it comes to its design layout, it looks exactly the same as the previous M1 iPad Pro model – sleek, slim, and portable. The 11-inch model weighs only 466 grams, which is slightly lower than the OnePlus Tablet, while the 12.9-inch model weighs 682 grams higher.
As for the design, both tablets come with their own brand aesthetic. So there is nothing to complain about. But there is one major difference, which is the camera positioning. The main camera of the iPad Pro is positioned at the back of the top left corner, while OnePlus decided to put it at the center for a more convenient recording position, which most tablet lovers seem to appreciate already.
Moving on to the internal specification, OnePlus Pad is equipped with a powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9000 mobile processor and integrated ARM G710 MC10 graphics. Besides, this tablet also includes up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB UFS 3.1 storage capacity. Additionally, it got a really powerful 9510 milliampere battery with 67 watts of SuperVOOC charging, which can charge up the entire tablet in one hour and give you 12.4 hours of video playback. Apart from that, OnePlus Tab also features some advanced features such as Cellular Data Sharing, Auto connect, 1-Month Standby mode, and great multi-tasking potential. As for the camera, it got 13 megapixels rear camera, which is capable of recording 4K, 1080p, and 720p footage with up to 30 frames per second.
The included 8-megapixel front camera can capture 1080p videos with a maximum of 30fps. On top of that, the tablet also includes Omnibearing Sound Field technology powered by four powerful speakers, which will give you an even greater audio experience, while watching movies or videos.
In comparison, the iPad Pro is powered by Apple’s latest flagship processor, the M2 chipset. Thanks to this powerful chipset, it really opens up the door for groundbreaking performance. Besides that, it has up to 16GB RAM and 1 terabyte of maximum storage capacity. On top of that, the camera performance here is truly impressive. It got two rear cameras, one 12-Megapixel Wide and the other is 10-Megapixel Ultra Wilde ProRes Camera. It can also capture videos at 4K resolution with up to 60 FPS, and 30FPS for 4K ProRes recording. With the combined power of M2 Chipset, you can turn your iPad Pro into a complete movie studio. Also, the 12-megapixel front camera with a built-in Center Stage feature is perfect for FaceTime calls and selfies.
Additionally, for a fast and stable internet connection, this device is also compatible with Wi-Fi 6E and 5G network connections. And just like the OnlePlus Pad, the iPad Pro also has a 4-way audio speaker setup for a rich, clean hearing experience. As for the battery life, the 40.88-watt-hour battery can back you up with up to 10 hours of maximum usage.
Even though the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 is a great processor, the M2 chipset really makes the difference in terms of the productivity of the iPad Pro and the camera performance is also mindblowing, although more information about OnePlus Pad’s camera is yet to come. But OnePlus Pad did introduce a new Stand -by feature which is commendable.
As we take a look at the display, OnePlus Pad has an 11.61-inch LCD panel touchscreen display with 2800 by 2000 resolution along with a 144 hertz of refresh rate and 500 nits of brightness. It’s a 7:5 aspect ratio screen that features Dolby Vision, ensuring a rich visual experience.
In contrast, the 12.9-inch iPad Pro features 2732 by 2048 resolution display with a Liquid Retina XDR screen along with a 120-hertz of refresh rate and 600 nits of brightness, delivering crisp colors and vivid image quality.
While the OnePLus Pad uses Dolby Vision technology with an LCD panel display, the iPad Pro came out with its own Liquid Retina Display technology featuring more brightness and vibrant colors. But we shouldn’t underestimate the smoothness of the OnePlus Pad screen, it is one of the best in this category.
