Finding the best closed-back studio headphones for music production that fits your budget doesn’t have to be a difficult task. Because today, we’ve got this ATH-M30X from Audiotechnica, which is considered one of the best budget studio headphones, even in 2021. So, buckle up, and let’s find out why Auditechnica ATH-M30X is among the best budget studio headphones till now.

Now, the M30X has a surprising amount of audio fidelity to be very honest, especially when you’re getting it within this price range. It’s not built for those gigantic basses that you might expect from a regular headphone, but rather it serves the audiophiles as well as the audio engineers in a very professional manner. Wearing noise-canceling headphones for too long might be stressful enough to not let you work for the next session. In order to deliver professional sound quality, this headphone has been built with proper materials and following the requirements that the audio engineers might need while working inside a studio. So, it’s suggested that you don’t use it in loud environments where your core responsibility is all about the audio. Otherwise, you might end up with a bad experience which is likely to be seen on some uneducated websites.

The ATH-M30X didn’t change much from its previous version, the M20X. They do have the same design, except for some minor changes to the back of the earcups on the M30X. Moreover, they have the same all-black color scheme as well as the same understated look as the rest of the ATH-M series. Now the comfort level of the M30X is very good besides it has a very compact design. It weighs only 0.47 pounds and has slightly larger earcups which better encompass most listener’s ears. They will not put too much pressure on your ears as well as your head for being this lightweight. However, it might seem a little bit rigid to some users as it doesn’t swivel like the higher-end model of this lineup.

Anyways, let’s get into some key features of this headphone. As it has been manufactured for studio tracking and mixing, it’s featured with 40mm Neodymium Dynamic Drivers and 15 Hz to 22 kHz Frequency Response so that you get good quality sound. It’s been tuned for Enhanced Midrange Definition so that you can get the benefits of standardized audio within an Over-Ear, Sound-Isolating Design. Thanks to the 15 Degree Swiveling Earcups and generous cushioning on the headband and earpads, these headphones are both durable and comfortable to wear. For keeping it simple and clean, the M30x incorporates a 9.8-feet cable that exits from the left side which increases the convenience and makes it easier to distinguish the different sides of the headphone. And the cable is terminated with a gold-plated 3.5mm TRS Mini Plug for easy hookup to mobile devices, MP3 players, and computer headphone jacks. Also, a secure 1/4″ screw-on adapter is included for compatibility with audio interfaces, mixers, and dedicated headphone amplifiers.

However, thanks to all the high-quality materials used in this ATH-M30x, the headphones maintain a great balance between comfort and strength while delivering enhanced audio and effective isolation for you. So that was the review of the ATH-M30X from Audiotechnica. If you liked this review feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section below.
